Matanot L’Evyonim
The mitsvah of Matanot L’evyonim (gifts to the poor on Purim day) is one of the big four main mitsvot of the day. It enables poor families to purchase food for their Purim meal.
Donations made by midday of Purim Day are distributed by the The S&P Welfare Board the same day.
