Join Rabbi Kada in conversation with Professor David Katz: Halachic perspectives on organ donation in the UK
Professor David Katz is Emeritus Professor of Immunopathology at University College London (UCL). His long-standing research interest has been in antigen presentation, in particular the role of dendritic cells in induction of immune responses in health and disease. His joint research group (with Professor Benny Chain) was internationally recognised for original work investigating how these cells function, and how they can be injured, leading to immunopathology.
He edits the International Journal of Experimental Pathology and for 16 years he served on Fitness to Practice Panels, chairing many Tribunals for the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service. David, is joint lead on UCL medical ethics grand round presentations and was on the GMC Advisory Panel on End of Life issues. He is currently co-deputy chair of the British Medical Association’s Medical Academic Staff Committee (MASC).
