The backlash to Israel’s victory in the Six-Day war led to the demise of Jewish communities in Arab countries. By 1970, just 3,000 Jews remained in Iraq from 150,000. We will hear testimonies from those who became hostages to a regime of terror under Saddam Hussein, but also stories of hope and adventure: how 2,000 Jews escaped from Iraq in a daring smuggling operation.
