Rabbi Morris is the Rabbi of Bevis Marks Synagogue. He received his Rabbinic Ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University. Rabbi Morris previously served as Educational Director at Congregation Shearith Israel and as Assistant Rabbi at Lincoln Square Synagogue, both in New York.
Rabbi Morris is also a Jewish History PhD candidate at King’s College London. He is particularly interested in the religious debates of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish communities in the nineteenth century. His work and study in both the Sephardi and Ashkenazi communities informs his inclusive approach to the Jewish world.
Rabbi Morris welcomes inquiries concerning the synagogue, or history of London’s S&P Sephardi community.
