Bevis Marks Project – NLHF: We Need Your Support

Bevis Marks Synagogue, a hidden jewel in the City of London, is the oldest synagogue still in continuous use in Europe.

With the support of National Lottery players through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the S&P Sephardi Community is embarking on a project to secure the future of this extraordinary synagogue and its collections.

The vision is to create a vibrant religious, cultural and educational centre in the heart of the City. The synagogue complex will be transformed, both for the S&P Community and our visitors, ensuring that Bevis Marks’ unique heritage and the Sephardic story are shared with a wider audience and preserved for future generations.

The grant on offer from the NLHF is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for this scale of investment in Bevis Marks. But it is conditional on the balance being raised by the Community. Your gift to this project will be matched by the NLHF.

We are grateful for gifts at any level – they will all make a significant difference to the future of Bevis Marks.
