Our Heritage. Our Future.
Since 1656, when Oliver Cromwell allowed Jews to live in England and openly practice Judaism, the S&P Sephardi community has not only grown, it has thrived.
Bevis Marks Synagogue was completed in 1701, and remains unchanged in form and function to this very day. We are a community made up of 3 synagogues, and many affiliates, educating members of the community and the wider world about the heritage of the S&P Sephardi Community, and ensuring that our traditions, minhagim and history are learnt from and carried forward into the future.
We ensure that the things that make the S&P unique, and the rich tapestry of its past and heritage, are taught to future generations of our own Kahal (community), the wider Jewish community, as well as the wider world. We are there for members of the Kahal, throughout their lives, acting as an anchor so that they know where they can turn for help and advice, as well as offering key activities on a regular basis for the community to come together.
It is our heritage. And now we must invest in our future.
You can help and make the difference by supporting the S&P Sephardi community this Hanukkah.
With your support we can go from strength to strength.
