Join us for for a book launch of ‘Episodes’ by Judy Jackson and Monika Sears.
EPISODES, two girls, two lives, one time
The book talks about the memories of two young girls, both born in 1939 – one in Poland and one in England. Monika suffered the war years under Nazi persecution, narrowly escaping capture on several occasions. Judy was brought up in the relative calm of London, living through the Blitz, the blackout and food shortages. There is no comparison between the two accounts yet both reflect the emotions and experiences of young children dealing with what they thought of as ‘normal’.
