On the evening of 10 September 2011 – 12 Elul 5771 – the first ever Sephardi Choral midnight Selihot service took place at Lauderdale Road Synagogue, London, under the joint auspices of the Spanish & Portuguese Jews’ Congregation and Anshei Shalom, and with the participation of several guest Hazanim from other Sephardi communities in the city.
